It’s been a while since we’ve had an addictive true crime fix, but that’s all about to change thanks to the arrival of Ronan Farrow’s Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes.
The six-part documentary series brings to life Farrow’s intimate, revealing interviews with whistle-blowers, journalists, private investigators and other sources, conducted from the Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist’s podcast and bestselling book, Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies and A Conspiracy to Protect Predators, which exposed more behind the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
Farrow, the son of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen, gained international acclaim following his investigative reporting into allegations of sexual abuse against now-disgraced film mogul, which was published in The New Yorker. The upcoming project will expand on Farrow’s reporting, including never-before-seen footage and new insights into the culture-shaking story.
According to HBO, Catch and Kill will focus “not just on the harrowing effort to expose one powerful predator, but on the systems that help cover up the terrible crimes to this day.”
The docuseries, which debuts with two back-to-back episodes on BINGE on July 13, was directed by Emmy Award winners Fenton Bailey and Rady Barbato.
