Summer may be over in the northern hemisphere, but that doesn’t mean Kate Middleton is ready to give up on dressing for the season just yet. In fact, she’s waving off the warm months with perhaps the best look she’s worn yet.
The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out today in a light blue floral number by one of her favourite designers, Emilia Wickstead. Like most of Kate’s dresses, it cliches at the waist with a matching belt, before falling to just above ankle height. Wearing her go-to shoes – a pair of espadrilles – and her hair out in her signature waves, the mother-of-three looked every bit a modern-day princess as she visited the RHS Wisley Back to Nature festival overnight.
With both Prince George and Princess Charlotte back at school (Charlotte’s first day was earlier this week), Kate attended the gardens child-free, however, when she first designed the Back to Nature garden earlier this year, all three of her children were involved. “Over the past months, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have helped The Duchess gather moss, leaves and twigs to help decorate @The_RHS Back to Nature Garden. Hazel sticks collected by the family were also used to make the garden’s den,” Kensington Palace wrote on Instagram at the time.
Surprisingly, Kate’s dress is still available to shop for $3288 AUD, but we’d get in quick – the Kate Effect has already begun and it’s now low in stock in all sizes.
Run, don’t walk.
