What’s Been Updated In The New Dyson Airwrap i.d?

Case in point: I’ve used the first generation Airwrap for the better part of two years, and I had the opportunity to test out the new Dyson Airwrap i.d. multi-styler and dryer at the Sydney Dyson Demo Store to compare the difference.
I managed to achieve a full head of bouncy, brushed-out curls all by myself on the first go with the new conical barrel for curls that start from the root and easily switch airflow direction with the quick twist of the barrel at the top of the attachment. No more swapping out barrels for those of you who have used a previous Airwrap before!
I’m not even going to tell you how long it took me to master the conventional curling wand I have at home (and the amount of burns I have from it). This, on the other hand, is surprisingly even more easy to use than the first generations of the Airwrap – and my long hair never got tangled around the barrel.

How Is It Different From The Original?
The Dyson Airwrap i.d. multi-styler and dryer is Dyson’s first connected multi-styler. It has all the styling capabilities of the original Dyson Airwrap styler but now comes with app-connected features and brand-new attachments, for even more styles.
You take a quiz about your hair, skill level and styling goals on the MyDyson app, and the machine intelligently creates the ideal curling sequence to wrap, style and set each curl with just the push of a button. Connecting to the app also offers you tailored styling with content that is relevant to your hair type, gives live product updates and troubleshooting notifications, and filter maintenance prompts.

Are The New Attachments Compatible With Previous Dyson Airwraps?
Yes! All attachments are fully compatible with previous Dyson Airwrap devices. You’re able to purchase the attachments individually, or if you’re wanting to completely upgrade your older machine, you can purchased them as a set. The great thing about Dyson is that you can try before you buy at the Dyson Demo Stores – which is the ideal place to try the new attachments.
