“He was working on the radio in Melbourne town,
Livin’ in a sharehouse that would make you frown,
What was he to do, where was he to go
Could he just be fun-ny?
So off in a plane from Elwood up to Sydney’s door,
He was there to do gags but this girl she saw more,
He had style, he had flair, and he cared,
that’s how he became, the Daddyyyyy
Who would have guessed that the boy we described,
was just exactly what the doctor prescribed?
Now the girl finds him beguiling, (watch out An-dy!)
The kids are really smiling, (might be can-dy!)
He’s the boy turning red when everybody else is going taaan,
The funny boy from Melbourne, the Daddy named Ham! ❤️”
