The 35-year-old woman was walking on Putney Bridge on the morning of May 5, The Guardian reports.

The footage shows the dramatic moment a male jogger, who was travelling in the opposite direction, knocked her to the ground.

The woman fell into the gutter and was narrowly missed by a double decker bus, which swerved just in time to avoid a collision.

Sergeant Mat Knowles, the investigating officer from the Putney Safer Neighbourhood Team, said they were searching for the jogger in the CCTV footage.

“The victim was put in extreme danger when she was knocked into the road,” he said, ABC reports.

“It was only due to the superb quick reactions of the bus driver that she was not hit by the vehicle.”

According to police, the man retuned to the bridge 15 minutes later and was seen jogging on the other side of the road. The female victim attempted to speak to him, but the man kept jogging.

“We are keen to speak to the jogger in the CCTV about what happened that morning,” Sergeant Knowles said.

“We would urge him or anyone who recognises him to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
