The Danish model spoke to Harper’s Bazaar US in their One Take series, talking about growing up with two gay mums and two gay dads. Initially, her mum reached out to an LGBT newsletter to get out a message about wanting a baby.

My mom put in an ad saying she was a lesbian mom seeking a gay dad to start a non-conventional family,” she said.

Josephine has also spoken out in the past about the discrimination she has faced by growing up as an IVF baby, but she hasn’t let the negativity stop her from shining her light.

“Growing up with two sets of gay parents made me outgoing and open-minded. At the age of four, I was the one dragging my family to the gay parade because I wanted to yell loud and proud.”

She showed that confident side when she walked as a Victoria’s Secret model for the first time last year, dressed in a stunning Swarovski look made of 450,000 crystals.

Josephine is a passionate LGBT advocate and says that she believes that knowledge and understanding can make people more accepting.

“The more people want to talk against me, the more I just want to take them for coffee, the more I just want to sit down and have a conversation, because I genuinely believe that if you knew better, you’d do better.”
