Three men were sentenced to jail time on Friday for the gang rape of an intoxicated 16-year-old girl at a house party in Sydney in 2015.
In August last year, 27-year-old Kurt Stevenson and Tristan Carlyle Watson, and 25-year-old Andrew Waters, were found guilty of multiple charges relating to the assaults at a house in St Clair.
As the Sydney Morning Herald reports, the girl—aged 16 at the time—has a mild intellectual disability and has no memory of the attack that was filmed on a GoPro camera.
During the trial, a court heard that five men stood around the girl while she was repeatedly assaulted. One man can be heard declaring: “One by one we’ll all get a f—” in the 16 minute video.
On Friday, NSW District Court Judge Sharron Norton sentenced Stevenson to a maximum of 13 years in jail and a non-parole period of nine years, AAP reports.
Waters will be jailed for a maximum of 11 years and six months; the non-parole period is seven years and eight months.
Tristan Carlyle-Watson—who was in the room while the attack happened but did not have intercourse with the teenager—receieved a minimum sentence of 4 years and 9 months.
The man who filmed the gang rape, Ayden Devereux, was last year sentenced to a minimum of five years behind bars, while a man who was underage at the time known as ML will be eligible for parole after three years in jail.
