The pair have become close through the years, so much so that Kate even green lighted Ms Deacon’s upcoming wedding at the Chapel Royal at St James Palace, which is exclusively for royals – and those with a direct link to the royal family.

The role of private secretary involves managing the public and private diary of the Duchess, with Ms Deacon often seen accompanying Kate to her official royal engagements, advising her on who she was meeting with and carrying flowers and gifts.
