It’s been less than a year since Barack Obama left the oval office and handed the keys to the White House to President Trump, but for many, it feels like 10.
While Trump has waged war against minority groups and women for the last 339 days, Obama has remained firmly stoic on the sidelines, occasionally chiming in with messages of peace and hope.
So when the Obamas posted their Christmas card photo yesterday (complete with ear-to-ear grins and small elves), the internet went into meltdown.
“Please come back, Trump is trying to kill us,” tweeted one fan in response, while another said simply, “Every time you pop on my Twitter feed I hear the song “Baby come back” in my head.”
For others though, the mere sight of the Obamas was a welcome one:
It should probably also be noted that Obama’s tweet had more retweets than Donald Trump’s Christmas message, making Barack the greatest President of all time.
