And the streaming giant has returned to the endless well of King stories for another film, the chilling 1922.

Based on King’s grisly novella, 1922 follows farmer Wilfred (Thomas Jane), his wife Arlette (Molly Parker) and their son Henry (Dylan Schmid) in 1920s Nebraska. When Arlette realises she wants to say goodbye to country life and move to the city, Wilfred makes a decision that will haunt him until the day he dies.

1922 is directed by Australian Zak Hilditch, who also made the apocalyptic road movie These Final Hours. According to Variety, the film delivers slow burn drama plus plenty of old-fashioned horror shocks.
