The 1995 O.J. Simpson murder trial has been on everybody’s lips recently, with renewed interest from Ryan Murphy’s compelling series The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story as well as the incredible Academy-award winning documentary O.J.: Made in America.
Kris Jenner has added a little more fuel to the fire in an interview on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter’ podcast by opening up about her relationship with the football star and the late Nicole Brown Simpson. Kris’s ex-husband, Robert Kardashian, famously served as an assistant on O.J.’s legal team.
Kris revealed that O.J.’s jealous nature had allegedly led Nicole to confide in her that she “feared for her life”.
The Kardashian momager also claimed that she was with Nicole at Bloomingtons when she bought a pair of leather gloves that may have been involved in her murder.
The gloves became an iconic part of the trial when O.J was asked to try them on in the courtroom. When they appeared to be too small, lawyer Johnnie Cochran declared: “If the glove don’t fit, you must acquit”.
Kris explained that she was even meant to meet Nicole the morning she was killed.
“After that initial shock of, ‘What’s going on?’ I just felt like I knew, probably, what had happened,” Jenner told THR. The publication draws the conclusion that Kris’s statement hints at her belief that O.J. had in fact killed Nicole.
