Kate Middleton has long proved to be a master at mixing high street labels with her favourite designer pieces, and in honour of International Day of the Midwife in the U.K. on May 5, 2021, the Duchess of Cambridge offered up yet another lesson on chic, affordable dressing.
Appearing for an interview with midwife and Midwife-led Community Transformation (MILCOT) founder Harriet Nayiga for the Nursing Times, Middleton opted for her signature polished style wearing a bright blue double-breasted Zara blazer, paired perfectly with a black top and sleek trousers.
The royal added an elegant touch by pulling her back in a half-up twist, with her usual curls falling loosely over her shoulders.
Middleton’s interview, which is included in a special issue of the publication, featured cover art chosen by the Duchess herself and marks the end of a three-year global campaign called Nursing Now, which intended to provide a larger platform to nursing staff across the globe.
While Middleton’s exact blazer isn’t yet available in Australia, there are plenty of similar styles that match her Zoom look.
Zara Buttoned Blazer, $139; available at Zara.
The interview came just a day prior to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announcing the launch of their YouTube channel. “Be careful what you say now because these guys, they’re filming everything,” William tells his wife in the sneak peek. “I know!” Kate replies with a laugh.
The royal couple’s montage clip also showed the Duke serving spaghetti, Middleton meeting children in London, and the couple attending red carpet events and waving to cameras. “Better late than never, we’re now on @YouTube ? Link in bio,” reads the caption.
For the launch, Middleton opted for a classic black turtleneck and gold earrings—a styling pair the Duchess of Cambridge has regularly sported throughout her royal career.
