Last week, Kate Hudson and her partner Danny Fujikawa welcomed their first child together, taking to Instagram to announce the arrival of a baby girl named Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa.
In a three-part post captioned simply, “She’s here,” the pair revealed their daughter was born on October 2. Now, the happy couple has shared the first photo of the newborn, showing her sleeping and swaddled in a blanket.
“?Our little rosebud?” the actress captioned the sweet photo.
In the second slide announcing Rani’s birth, the mother-of-three revealed her newborn’s unique name, before explaining the reasoning behind it.
“We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honour,” Kate wrote.
While Rani is Danny’s first child, Kate has two sons – Bingham, seven, whose father is musician and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, and 14-year-old Ryder Russell, whose dad is also a musician and singer of band, The Black Crowes.
Congrats to the happy family! More photos, please.
