Following revelations of chilling comments Mr Ristevski made prior to his wife’s death, the Herald Sun has revealed he cannot account for his whereabouts for almost 100 minutes on the day she went missing.

It is also reported that he cut one of his first police interviews short and refused to answer more questions.

Karen Ristevski’s body was found buried in bushland in February this year, 52km from where she was last seen alive.

Though Mr Ristevski denies having any involvement in the disappearance of his wife, both his and Karen’s phones “pinged” off transmission towers on the Calder Freeway on the day of her disappearance and Mr Ristevski’s phone was then switched off for two hours.

Police have named him the primary suspect in their case.
