A huge congratulations are in order for Jessica Mauboy who has married her long time partner, Themeli Magripilis.
The Darwin-born singer reportedly celebrated the nuptials back in the Northern Territory with a small church ceremony followed by a celebratory bash at Mindil Beach Casino Resort. According to Northern Territory Times, the reception included 300 guests.
Mauboy is yet to comment on the nuptials publicly, though we have no doubt an announcement is coming—plus, a glimpse of her undoubtedly stunning wedding dress.
According to a source who spoke to NT Times, there “wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd” at the wedding as the pair finally tied the knot.
Mauboy and Magripilis have been together for 13 years and announced their engagement following a holiday in Greece in 2019.
“The love of my life proposed to me in his family’s home town of Kalymnos, Greece, on the beach at sunset,” Mauboy shared with her Instagram followers at the time.
“We are so happy. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. Thank you for all the love. BIG LOVE JM & Themeli.”
Speaking about her wedding earlier this year with Sunrise, Mauboy said she was planning a “big family fest” because most of her mob are based there.
“It’ll be probably the sunset and the beach, you know.”
She also told Sydney Morning Herald: “My ideal ceremony is catching up with mob I have missed out on seeing recently and reconnecting with loved ones.”
Mauboy has previously opened up about the special relationship she shares with her now-husband, whose job is a little more low-key than being on the Australian stage.
“We live in different worlds. I mean, he’s in construction, I’m in the music business. So it’s very, very different worlds, but he absolutely loves it,” Mauboy told The Project last year.
“He loves his music, and I’m just really grateful to have someone like that in my life who understands what I do.”
