Jennifer Aniston’s next movie role has been announced, and we have a feeling it’s a doozy: she’s set to star in the film adaptation of young adult novel Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy.
Aniston will play a former beauty queen, current beauty pageant organiser and mother to Willowdean Dickson, who Aniston’s character has, somewhat unhelpfully, nicknamed Dumplin’ due to her rotund size.
Anne Fletcher, whose credits include The Proposal and 27 Dresses, will take the director’s seat, according to Deadline.
The plot centres on Willowdean’s mock entry into the beauty pageant to spite her mother, which swiftly becomes the catalyst for all the neighbourhood’s non-tall, skinny and blonde girls to enter.
Jennifer Aniston as a pushy stage mom? We can’t wait to see that.
