If you’re looking for a new book to read while you soak up the summer sun, this might be it: an explosive new tell-all about Donald Trump contains some very juicy tidbits.

Extracts from Michael Wolff’s forthcoming book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House were released overnight, and while much of it rips Donald Trump to shreds, it also touches upon his family members.

Wolff writes that Ivanka and husband Jared Kushner accepted positions in the White House “over the advice of almost everyone they knew” because of the possibility that Ivanka might be president one day. Yep – turns out Ivanka has much bigger political plans than we first thought.

We’re guessing things may be a little awkward between Donald and Ivanka at the moment, and not just because of this revelation. Wolff also writes that Ivanka “wasn’t above a chortle with her friends about her father’s infamous orange comb-over”.

“She often described the mechanics behind it to friends: an absolutely clean pate – a contained island after scalp reduction surgery – surrounded by a furry circle of hair around the sides and front, from which all ends are drawn up to meet in the centre and then swept back and secured by a stiffening spray,” Wolff wrote.

“The colour, she would point out to comical effect, was from a product called ‘Just for Men’ – the longer it was left on, the darker it got. Impatience resulted in Trump’s orange-blond colour.”

The White House has since retaliated, saying that most of the book is untrue and Wolff was only permitted into the White House on 20 occasions.

Either way, your summer reading is sorted!
