Harriet Wran has been released from Silverwater Jail after serving two years for her role in the fatal robbery of a Sydney drug dealer.
As she exited the jail this morning, Wran made an emotional plea for privacy as she continues her recovery.
“I implore you to understand that I’m still very much in recovery,” she told assembled media, with her mother, Jill Hickson-Wran by her side.

“It’s going to be a long process and it’s going to be hard and I ask you to understand, please, to let me do what I have to do in private.”
According to News Corp, Wran’s bail conditions state that she must abstain from alcohol and illegal drugs and will undergo psychologic or psychiatric treatment “as directed”. She is also forbidden from contacting anyone related to the case including her co-offenders and the victim’s family.
She is expected to live with her mother at her home in Sydney’s east.
The 28-year-old daughter of former NSW Premier Neville Wran, was high on ice when she visited Daniel McNulty in August 2014 with her boyfriend Michael Lee and another man Lloyd Haines.
The trio were hoping to buy more methamphetamine, but the drug deal went wrong and Lee and Haines murdered Lee.
