A court has heard the horrifying details of how a girl was allegedly gang raped at a house party in the Blue Mountains, NSW, in 2012, when she was 15. The jury was told the males laughed in the girl’s face when she pleaded them to stop.
At a trial at Sydney’s Downing Centre District Court, Aaron Jensen, now 23, Christian Dickens, now 22, and two 21-year-old men, have pleaded not guilty to multiple offences, including aggravated sexual assault in company, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
In court, Crown Prosecutor Belinda Baker said the party was one of the first the girl had attended. On the night, the teenager had drunk about a litre of wine.
She was “well affected by drinking so much alcohol… she thinks that someone might have put something else in that drink,” Ms Baker said.
“Her next memory is waking up in a dark room with one of the accused on top of her.”
Ms Baker continued: “She will tell you that she pleaded with them to stop… her voice was slurred and weak… she wanted to yell out but she couldn’t.
“Each time she pleaded the accused laughed saying words like ‘shut up, you love it slut’.”
Nine News reports that Meredith Phelps, the barrister for one of the unnamed boys, said her client did have sex with the girl, but said they would be raising questions about consent.
Barrister Gary Corr said “there are some doubts about both the honesty and the reliability” of the girl.
