One burning question avid Friends fans have always wondered is: were the cast really just friends—or something more?
Rumours started swirling last year when actors from the hit sit-com discussed a supposed “no-sex” clause in their contract while appearing on the show Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“Well, that was broken,” David Schwimmer joked when asked about the ban.
But now, Matthew Perry—the spoilsport he is—has shut down the rumours of cast trysts for good.
“I don’t know who he was referring to. I think there was no sex between any of them, or I was really missing something. I did not [partake],” he told host Andy Cohen.
In the interview, Perry also revealed he was responsible for a raunchy storyline being removed from the show.
“There was a storyline on Friends where Chandler went to a male strip joint because he really liked the sandwiches,” he said. “I called up and said, ‘Let’s not do this one.'”
The questions got even tougher when Perry was asked to play a round of “Marry, Shag, Kill” with the names Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow. Wisely, he wisely decided to “plead the fifth”.
