While the father of baby Kayden, Jeremy Rainsford, said that he had fed, burped and put his son in a swing for just a minute as he went to the toilet, he has warned parents of leaving children unsupervised.

When he returned, the parents suspected that their son had choked on his own vomit and was unconscious. He died early on Monday morning at Princess Margaret Hospital.

7 News reports that the parents don’t think the swing was the source of the issue, rather the fact that he was unattended and choked on his vomit.

A coroner is set to investigate the cause of Kayden’s death.

His parents are devastated by their son’s death.

“He was such a beautiful little boy,” his mother Emma Granger told 7News through tears.

“We sat there and just talked to him and told him that everybody loved him. That we loved him. But he was too far gone”.

“It broke me,” added Kayden’s heartbroken father. “Having to perform CPR on my own son.”

A friend of the family, Jake Brooks, has also set up a GoFundMe for the family to help raise money for Kayden’s funeral.

He wrote, “Due to this unexpected circumstance and the extravagant price of funeral expenses, I have set up this GoFundMe page in order to help ease this financial concerns for this young family so they are able to morn without additional stressors.”
