Why We’re Obsessed With This Sustainable Brand Collaboration

A match made in heaven ✨

When two brands find a synergy between one another, magic happens. That sentiment is only proved by the partnership between denim brand Neuw and Australian jewellery label Holly Ryan. Aligned by their goal to minimise environmental impact, Neuw Denim and Holly Ryan have collaborated on a five-piece, limited-edition capsule collection.

The collection authentically embraces the lifestyle, ethos, integrity and attitude of the two brands, who are not only passionate about supporting local creativity but minimise the devastating carbon footprint left by the fashion industry. Both brand’s dedication to sustainable practices makes it a match made in heaven.

“Knowing that Neuw was in line with my morals and aligned with how I choose to operate my business made the whole process really seamless,” designer Holly says of the partnership. “I was really excited to work together.”

“It is really the first time that Neuw Denim’s shone a halo on the womenswear,” Victoria Bolton, Neuw’s Womenswear Designer says. “The men’s business has always been number one. So that’s really exciting to kick off the re-launch of the women’s business by collaborating with Holly.”

The collaboration falls in line with Neuw’s ZERO categories, which uses responsible and sustainable production initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of the denim manufacturing and production process. The water used in the manufacturing process is entirely renewed, reused, and recycled with zero waste being discharged as contaminated sewage into the water grid. While artist and designer Holly is committed to producing responsible and meaningful pieces. The brand minimises its impact on the earth by employing low or zero waste processes and using sustainable materials.

“The collection was all about talking to both of our strengths as designers in what we do, and making sure that shines through for both of us individually,” Victoria adds. “The priority for us both has always been, as well, not forsaking style for sustainability.”

For the collection, Holly designed signature, graphic buttons in her iconic ‘Picasso’ face crafted using all recycled metals. The limited-edition run has all been handstitched, hand-brushed and hand-grinded to produce a distressed aesthetic without the use of harmful chemicals.
