The Met Gala might mark the opening of the Costume Institute’s annual exhibition, but it also signifies a time when tensions are high, and exes are abundant.

Exactly a year after the couple hard-launched their relationship on the 2024 Met Gala red carpet, the pair arrived at this year’s event solo and as exes after dating for almost a year.
Carpenter might have warned Keoghan not to “embarrass me motherfucker” in her chart-topping song “Please, Please, Please’ and so far, the Saltburn actor appears to have kept his word after through a seemingly amicable split.
Cardi B & Nicki Minaj
The only thing worse than a divorce is a friendship breakup. For former friends Cardi B and Nicky Minaj, the beef has been simmering for a while.
In October 2017, Migos added Cardi B and Minaj to his song “Motorsport” and it was reported that the pair shot the scenes for the music video separately, which sparked speculation of tension between them. Following fierce internet speculation around their off-screen relationship, all eyes are on these former White Lotus co-stars tonight. The duo are reportedly following one another again on Instagram after eagle-eyed fans speculated over a feud following the shows finale when they disappeared from each other’s follower count. The event was made more significant by the fact Priyanka Chopra was also in attendance, who Khan is rumoured to have had an affair in the past.
