It’s been decades since Victoria Beckham has turned on her microphone and belted out a tune. And while her reunion with the Spice Girls is yet to arrive, we’ll take whatever display of vocal range that Victoria is willing to offer.
Thankfully, she warmed up her vocal cords for her husband, David Beckham, who made sure to share the sweet moment with the world.
In a video posted to Instagram, Victoria can be seen taking part in a ceremonial trip to a karaoke bar. And she’s not just singing any tune that appeared on the screen, she opted to belt out one of the Spice Girls’ most famous hits, “Stop”, which was originally featured in the Spice World movie in 1997.
“Stop right now, thank you very much, I need somebody with a human touch,” she looks to be singing in the recorded clip.
“Karaoke night with the one & only Posh Spice,” David captioned the video, which saw Victoria reply, “Only for you David!! X”
David and Victoria were married in Dublin, Ireland in July 1999, not long after they welcomed their first son together, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham in March that same year. Now, 23 years after the fact, the couple have a family of four children, 19-year-old Romeo, 17-year-old Cruz and 11-year-old Harper.
Recently, Victoria and David have been photographed celebrating their wedding anniversary by taking a trip to Venice, Italy. Spotted wearing matching outfits, Victoria donned a pale yellow strappy dress with white sandals, while David sported a pastel T-shirt and white pants.
“They say he isn’t funny, they say I never smile, they said it wouldn’t last ? Today we celebrate 23 years being married,” Victoria wrote in an Instagram post, dedicated to David, alongside a sweet throwback photo of the couple.
“David you are my everything, I love you so much!!!!” she added.
As for David, he shared a clip from an interview they did with Ali G in 2001, writing, “23 years ago today Posh became Mrs. Beckham, but she will always be Posh.”
“Happy Anniversary WOW 23 years & 4 beautiful kiddies I love you, we all love you.”
In the clip that David shared, Ali G (payed by Sacha Baron Cohen) asks David if he was ever a fan of the Spice Girls before he met Victoria, to which he replied, “No, but I was into Posh”.
